Scientists harness the power of pee

A urine powered battery the size of a credit card has been invented by Singapore researchers.

A drop of urine generates 1.5 volts, the equivalent of one AA battery, says Dr Ki Bang Lee of the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology.

My friend is gunna be a baby daddy!

I guess I'm getting to the age now when the people around me start pairing off to reproduce. My friend Sean has spread his seed and is expected to have a baby girl on June 2nd. My prediction: June 16, my birthday, will be the day she is born.

Colorado Man Gets Caught Using Infrared Device To Change Stoplights

A man in Colorado spent $100 on eBay for a device you mount on your dash, like what cops and firetrucks use, to change a red light green by sending an infrared signal to recievers on some cities stoplights. He was fined $50 but says the device has paid for itself since he's never late for work anymore. Nice try buddy, but you had to know it was to good to last.

I test drive Picasa2

So I clicked on the little 'more »' link on Google's homepage, as I do from time to time, and found a bit of free software. Picasa2 Is a personal photo database, think iTunes for your digital photos, which allows you to add captions, tag pictures whith who/what is in them, collage a group of photos automatically, and edit all your photos with one program.
The way the interface is set up, you can find a picture and do pretty much anything you could ever want to it, all in one program. Icons for making prints, emailing photos, and a handy 'BlogThis!' button allow users to quickly print/send/post all their photos.
My favorite feature is the labels. You can tag each picture with the date, location, people in it, and any other information, allowing you to easily pull up all your vacation pictures, without digging through folders and CD-ROMs. Another great product from Google!
